Nancy Lee Bailey

Nancy L. Bailey, 71 of Athens, TN passed away peacefully on May 10, 2018 at Grace Healthcare in Decatur, TN after a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Bailey was preceded in death by her husband, William A (Bill) Bailey who passed away in December 2016, her parents, Reba M. Kerr, and Otha M. Kerr, Jr. Grandparents, Clyde and Grace McDonald, son-in-law Dr Dan Brumback, brother-in-law, Larry Baumgardner.
Nancy was of Baptist faith, a native of McMinn County, TN and a McMinn County High School graduate.
Survivors include two sons, Jeffrey Bailey, Christian Smith, a daughter, Robin (Rusty) Rollins, all of Athens. Three granddaughters, Alexis Brumback (Michael) Barlok, Sky Bailey and Leeyla Bailey. Two grandsons, Tyler Bailey and Dan Brumback, II. One great grandson, Daniel Brumback, sister, Connie Baumgardner, all of Athens, TN. One Brother, Jackie (Jan) Kerr of Smyrna, TN, three nieces, Jaclyn (Scott) Warren, Jessica Kerr, and Jocelyn (David) Gutekunst. Three great nephews and one great niece. Special cousins Bill Stewart of Athens and Karen (Gary) Coates of Highlands Ranch, CO. Many nieces and nephews and cousins from the Kerr and Bailey families. Several special close friends and loved ones who remember Nancy and Bill’s laughter, sense of humor, good times, and antics knowing they had your back when you needed them.
A celebration of life service in loving memory for both Nancy and Bill will be held June 2, 2018 at God’s Storehouse of Blessings in Riceville, TN with visitation from 11:00 AM until noon, and service to follow.
Companion Funeral and Cremation Service of Athens is in charge of the arrangements.
