Obituary

Myra Gill, 94, of Cleveland, TN passed away on Tuesday July 8, 2014. She was born on October 19, 1919 to the late Clyde and Blanche Stotts. Myra has been a resident of Cleveland for the past sixty years. She will forever be remembered as a godly woman who faithfully served alongside her husband Rev. Floyd Gill for 58 years. Myra enjoyed spending time on her back porch and reminiscing old memories. Above all things, however, she was a loving spouse, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who cherished her family and loved spending time with them.

In addition to her mother and father, she is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Rev. Floyd Gill; two sisters: Helen Holly and Mildred Stotts.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory: daughter Janet Gill Jackson and husband, Steve; Donnie Gill and wife, Taryn; three grandchildren: Dustin Gill, Stephanie Jackson Schafer, and Colby Shamblin; five great-grandchildren: Grace Schafer, Eli Schafer, Kyndall Shamblin, Avery Shamblin, and Savannah Gill; two sisters: Juanita Smith and Geneva Richie and husband, Wayne. In addition to these, she leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.

A funeral service will be held at Candies Creek Baptist Church at 11:00am on Friday July 11, 2014 with Rev. Jamie Work officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mike Richie, Steve Richie, Eli Schafer, Martin Schafer, Dustin Gill, and Colby Shamblin will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 10:00am-11:00am on Friday before the service.
