Mitchell "Ike" Braley

October 27, 1952 — November 9, 2023

Mitchell "Ike" Allen Braley, 71, of Chattanooga, TN passed away on November 9, 2023. He was born on October 27, 1952 in Chattonooga, TN. He enlisted in the Navy after graduation and played football for the Naval Academy.

After serving his country for four years he began working in the construction industry. Ike saw an opportunity in the 80's to start his own trucking company. He worked his way up in trucking and became a Divisional Manager for Quality Carriers. Upon retiring from the trucking industry, he spent his days at North Georgia Motorsports (The Race Shop).

Ike enjoyed racing, golfing, bowling, and spending time with his family and friends.

Ike was preceded in death by his wife of 29 years, DeAnna Braley (Dement); his mother, Marilyn Walden and grandmother, Litha Watkins.

He is survived by his daughter, Michelle (Michael) Fowler of Decatur; grandchildren, Megan, Mercy and Mattie Folwer of Decatur, Mitchell (Sarah) Fowler of Athens; one great grandchild (his handsome little man) Wesley Fowler; sister in-law, Diana Dement of Flintstone, GA. Also, many aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at 6:00 pm at John A. Patton Community Center, 3202 Kellys Ferry Road, Chattanooga, TN 37419.

Family will be receiving friends from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
