Mitch Dickson, 74, passed away on December 24, 2024. He was born in Cleveland, Tennessee to Hayes and Roxie Dickson on November 23, 1950.
Mitch was a longtime musician, most noted for his time as a bass player with The Southern Cross Band, and in the bluegrass community. He worked many years as an electronic technician and engineer with WTCI Station, and was a longtime member of the Limestone Masonic Lodge. He also served his community as an auctioneer. Mitch enjoyed the company of his pets, and was known to liven any room with his jokes and stories.
In addition to his mother, Roxie, he was preceded in death by his grandparents.
He is survived by his father, Hayes, daughter, Amanda (Ricky) Faricloth, grandchildren, Ruby and Chloe Faircloth, sister, Sandra Berry, nieces, Angela (Scott) Farley and Kristy (Charlie) Sharp, great-nephew, Logan Farley, great nieces, Brooke and Ava, and multiple cousins.
A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2024 at Companion Funeral Home - The Ridge Sanctuary at 2:00 pm with Pastor Tony Phillips officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm prior to the service. A graveside service is to follow at McInturff Cemetery in Birchwood, Tennessee.
