Obituary for Michael Patrick Pryor

Michael Patrick Pryor , 63 , of Flintstone , Georgia passed away June 3, 2023 at his Residence in Flintstone , Georgia . He was born on March 17, 1960 in Fort Oglethorpe , Georgia to Grady and Octavia (Popavitch ) Pryor .

Michael loved his family and friends tremendously. Both were very important to him.

He always helped when either called. He had a kind soul and an unforgettable smile. He

was jokester, so laughter was abundant when he was around. He was also a hard worker.

You could say it was a hobby. He was always tinkering, fixing or improving something.

Michael developed a passion for deer hunting at a young age. His father, Grady, would

take him and his older brother, Ronnie, on hunting trips to Suches, GA every year.

Michael decided to keep the tradition going. Him and a few friends would go deer

hunting every year for Thanksgiving a.k.a. 12 Days in November. He also loved cattle

and horses. He grew up showing ponies and horses. Then in his late teens he decided to

become a bull rider. He ended up making a 15 year career of riding bulls in rodeos

across the entire South. When Michael wasn't traveling for rodeos he worked for the

professional wrestlers The Fabulous Freebirds and Terry "Bam Bam" Gordy. He proudly

carried the American Flag for the wrestlers as they made their way to the ring.

He finally settled in his hometown. Michael and friends built his dream cabin. He

adopted a horse. He spent his days working on the land, hunting, and fishing. He did all

of the things he loved most until he couldn't. He will be missed by so many because he

was loved by many. Just remember he's breathing freely in that big rodeo in the sky. So,

think of that handsome smile and be at peace.

Left here to cherish his memory, Mother, Yvonne P. Case, daughter, Camille Pike, son-in-law, Isaac Pike and significant other, Jackie Atkins
