Michael Reynolds

May 9, 1956 — November 12, 2024

Michael Allen "Mike" Reynolds, 68, passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, after a brief battle with cancer.

The son of the late Dr. Jim and Chris Reynolds, Mike was born May 9,1956 in Madisonville.

He graduated from Cleveland High School, where he was in the marching band, and from Tennessee Wesleyan College. He was an Eagle Scout and a member of Broad Street United Methodist Church.

Mike had an entrepreneurial spirit, at various times operating his own magazine, a consignment shop, and a restaurant. He also worked as a purchasing agent for Aladdin/Mohawk. In retirement he did the bookkeeping for his son's landscaping business, tended to the water garden, and enjoyed life from the front porch of the wonderful house that he designed for his family. He especially enjoyed Mika's years playing Bradley North baseball at Hopewell and serving as a league commissioner there. Friday nights for many years were spent at Cleveland High School football games, where Mike could critique both football and marching band performances.

Mike is survived by his wife of 46 years, Mary; his son Mika Reynolds and wife Alli Miller-Reynolds, and his granddaughter, Maggie Lou, who was the light of her Grampa's life. He is also survived by his siblings, Amy Armstrong and Jimmy Reynolds, and his brother-in-law, John Hoffman.

The family expresses their gratitude to the nurses of the 3rd Floor Medical Tower, Bradley Medical Center, and Hospice of Chattanooga for their compassion and humor that they shared with Mike.

At Mike's request, there will be no services. Memorial donations may be made to Boy Scout Troop 10, c/o Broad Street UMC, or Hospice of Chattanooga.

You are invited to share a personal memory of Mike or your condolences with his family at his online memorial located at www.companionfunerals.com. Companion Funeral & Cremation Service and the Cody family are honored to assist the Reynolds family with these arrangements.
