Michael Reese

Michael Joe Reese, 64, of Cleveland TN passed away peacefully on Feb 21, 2025. At the time of his passing, he was surrounded by family & friends who loved him dearly. Mike was of the Church of God faith & served the Lord his entire life.

Mike worked in the grocery retail business for 35 years. Mike loved his job & was very good at it. His management & District Manager positions gave him the opportunity to work in many Red Food Store & Bi-Lo locations. Mike loved people & had the unique quality of never meeting a stranger.

Mike was preceded in death by his wife & best friend of 43 years, (Tami Faye Reese); mother, Barbara Denton; Stepfather, Charles Denton; Father, Joe L Reese; Grandparents, Erskin & Mimi Culpepper; John & Dorothy Reese; Father-in-Law, Lester Hooker and Stepbrother Charles B Denton.

Those left to cherish his memory are son, Johnathon Reese; Sister Tammy (Doyle) Johnson; Mother-in-law, Barbara Hooker; Sister-in-Law, Leslie (Danny) Black; Brothers in Law, Scottie (Kim) Hooker, and Verlin (Tammy) Hooker; and Stepsister, Charlene Denton. As well as several uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, & friends.

Although Mike's passing was sad & unexpected, we can find peace & comfort knowing he is reunited with his precious wife, (Tami) who also suddenly passed away on Feb 8, 2025.

We would like to send out a thank you to the Bradly County EMS team, Bradley County Medical Center Hospital staff, Tennova Home Health & special thanks to Keith, Mike's physical therapist. So many caring individuals who tried to make Mike's quality of life the best it could possibly be.

Lastly thank you to Hearth Hospice of Chattanooga who made Mike's final days more comfortable.

Arrangements are being handled by Companion Funeral Home of Cleveland TN. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
