Michael Edward “Big Daddy” Morrow, age 59, of Rossville, GA, passed peacefully away at his residence surrounded by loving family on Aug. 16 after a long battle with cancer. Mike was a former longtime employee of Dixie Industries and had later worked at the Roper, Corp. He was a member of Rock Pointe Church, Fort Oglethorpe, GA. Mike loved motorcycles, airplanes, classic cars and music by Kenny G.
He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Edward and mother Leona Dobbins “Pony” Morrow.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Mary; 3 sons, Jeremy (Jane) Morrow, Jared (Rita) Morrow, and Michael (Chrissy) Morrow; Mike was so happy the men his sons had grown into. 2 daughters, Kristy Spencer and Kristy Hill (Michael Hall); sisters, Kathy (Dale) Alley, Lynette (Jay) Laher; brother, Allen (Sherry) Morrow; “Big Daddy’s” love for his grandchildren was a very special one. Grandchildren, Seth, Kiera, Emma, Aria, Nate, Sophie, and Lincoln Morrow. Jeff (Brianna) West, and Hunter West; 2 great grandchildren, Brynley and Brylie West. Along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends; 2 special caregivers, Amanda and Rachael with Hearth Hospice.
Mike had the biggest heart of anyone and he loved with all of it. To say he will be missed is an understatement.
There will be a memorial service at Rock Pointe Church, Fort Oglethorpe on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at 4:00PM.
