Michael Dykstra

Michael Leonard Dykstra, born on May 6th, 1963, died peacefully at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, Tennessee at 8:10pm on September 23rd, 2024.

His favorite things include NASCAR (Go Mark Martin!) and watching the Tennessee Titans. He was a hardworking man, and he created an entire, successful electric company from the ground up.

Preceded in death by his sister, Mary; brothers, Bernie and Jamie; biological and adoptive mothers, Eva and Patricia; as well as his father, George Dykstra

Survivors include daughter, Jessica Nance and son-in-law Michael Nance; mother of Jessica, Caroline Gault; four grandchildren, Bentley, Micah, Noah, and Lincoln; siblings, Patsy Ingram, Joe Colson, Glenn Colson, Clayton Dykstra, Margaret Colson Atkins, Tom Colson and Paul Walsh; nieces and nephews, Jasmine, Justin, Samantha, Nicholas, Stacey, Ashley, Samuel, Jayme-Lynn, Kathryn, Matthew, Shannon, Shane, Natasha, Jody.

Michael was a good friend and brother to many. He was his daughter, Jessica's absolute hero. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
