Michael David Hackney

Michael Hackney, age 47, of Cleveland, departed this life on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at Tennova Healthcare. Born on March 21, 1973, he was a native and lifelong resident of Bradley County and was of the Baptist faith. A 1992 graduate of Bradley Central High School, he was a member of the baseball team and was previously employed at Southeastern Container. Mike loved NASCAR, Braves baseball, and spending time with family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Hackney
Left behind to cherish his memory are his mother, Barbara Hackney; sisters, Vicki Hackney, Annette Hall, and Lisa Hackney; nephews, Chase Ellis and Collin Ellis; and several extended family and a host of friends.
A Celebration of Life and Home going for Michael David Hackney will be held at 11a.m. Monday, March 8, 2021 from the Cleveland Chapel of Companion Funeral Home with Brother Guinn Green officiating. Interment will follow in the Fort Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8p.m. Sunday, March 7 at the funeral home.
