Michael Borden

Michael DeJuan Borden, 69 of Soddy Daisy TN passed away Monday, September 4th 2023.

A native of McMinn County, Mike was born on April 8th, 1954 to the late Jerry and Elaine Borden. After graduating from McMinn Central in 1972, Mike studied Business Administration and Accounting at Tennessee Tech University and earned his Bachelor Degree from The University of Tennessee in 1976. in 1979, Mike earned his Juris Doctor Degree from The University of Tennessee College of Law. He spent twenty-eight years as a corporate attorney for Tennessee Valley Authority. Mike was of the Methodist faith and loved being outdoors, fishing, hunting, and riding his Harley Davidson.

Preceded in death by his son, Joshua Beau Borden, his brother Rodney Borden, sister Connie Vincent, grandparents Anne and Floyd Cochran, and Willie and Harold Borden.

Survivors include one daughter and son -in -law, Courtney and Stephen Jenkins, granddaughter Harper Sloan and grandson Spence. One son and daughter -in -law, Hunter and Mia Borden, and granddaughter Olivia. One sister and brother-in law, Lisa and Jerry Miller and brother-in -law Taylor Vincent.

A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, September 11th, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. at Englewood United Methodist Church with Angela Akers officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00 p.m. prior to the service.
