Michael Anthony Schaub

July 2, 1973 — January 10, 2023

Michael Anthony Schaub, 49, of Cleveland, Tennessee passed away January 10, 2023 at UT Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee. He was born on July 2, 1973, in Indianapolis, Indiana to William and Ileta (Estes) Schaub. For the last five years, Michael was a supervisor within the maintenance department at Watts Barr Nuclear Power Plant. He proudly served in the US Navy aboard the USS John C. Stennis from 1991-1999 as a Reactor Operator/Maintenance Supervisor. He was an avid race car fan and enjoyed spending time at the racetrack, especially the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. He had an affinity for Ford Mustangs and loved his family dearly.


He was preceded in death by his father William Schaub and his grandparents.


He leaves behind his loving wife Caryn Schaub, sons Matthew Schaub and Logan Schaub, mother Ileta Schaub of Indianapolis, Indiana, sister Dawn (Jonathan) Davis of Greenwood, Indiana and several nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.


The family will receive friends at Companion Funeral Home – Cleveland on January 19, 2023 from 4:00 PM- 8:00 PM. Graveside services will be held on January 20, 2023 at 10:30 AM at Chattanooga National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Legion or American Lung Association.
