Melody Swinford

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Melody Ann Shubert-Swinford, 65, who peacefully left this world on February 7, 2025, in Ocoee, Tennessee.

Melody was a loving wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and dear friend. She is survived by her beloved husband, Kenneth Killian, who was not only her partner in life but also her best friend. Together, they shared countless memories, laughter, and love. Melody is also survived by her children: Derrick Shubert (Nicole Murray), Brandy Swinford (Ryan Booth), and Billy-Joe Swinford (Connie), along with her grandchildren Tyler (Makayla), Jalah (PJ), Stephanie, Daniel, Nevah, and Conner. Her heart was further filled with joy by her great-grandchildren, Blakely and Dominic.

In addition to her immediate family, Melody is survived by her sisters, Margaret, Carolyn, and her twin sister, Phyllis, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins who were all touched by her kindness and warmth.

Melody's love for family was immeasurable, and she always made everyone feel special. Her laughter and spirit will forever be remembered, and she leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and resilience.

Melody is preceded in death by her father, John Shubert, her mother, Mable Shubert, her brother, Robert Shubert, and her dear sister, Virginia Shubert. She was also preceded in death by her grandsons, Blake Swinford and Geoffrey Junior.

A celebration of Melody's life will be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at 4:00 PM at Companion Funeral Home "Ridge Chapel" in Cleveland, TN. Gene and Joyce Pack Officiating. A visitation will take place prior to the service, from **1:00 PM to 4:00 PM**, at the same location.

Melody's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, and she will forever be loved and missed.
