Melissa Dorset

Melissa Dorset, age 52, of Cleveland, departed this life on Monday, April 26, 2021 at a local healthcare facility. Born on February 7, 1969, she was a native and lifelong resident of Bradley County and a member of Shenandoah Baptist Church. Melissa was previously employed with Amazon and loved playing softball and spending time with her family especially her kids.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Anna Mae Farmer and Paul Brown; and paternal grandparents, Cleaston and Rosie Chastain.
Left behind to cherish Melissa’s memory are her children, Rachel Dorset and Bruce Dorset; mother, Pat Chastain; father Henry Chastain’ aunts Candy and Bud Brown and Mary and Alan Pressley; as well as several extended family and a host of friends.
A Celebration of Life and Home going for Melissa Ann Chastain Dorset will be held at 7p.m. Sunday, May 2, 2021 from the Cleveland Chapel of Companion Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 6p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home on Sunday.
