Melinda Flowers

Melinda Joan Flowers, 55, passed away on March 12, 2025. She was born to Earl V. and Sandra Williams on October 17, 1969 in Cleveland, Tennessee.

Melinda was a devout member of Hiwassee Baptist Church. She loved to spend her free time cooking, watching her grandchildren play sports, and loving on her two pet cats. Melinda was known for her infectious smile. She worked in the Polk County School System for close to 15 years.

In addition to her father, Melinda is preceded in death by her aunts and uncle, Elizabeth (Cookie) McCallie, Earl V. Williams, and Harold and Yvette Presswood.

Melinda is survived by her husband, Jimmy Flowers, sons, Brandon (Kayla) and Christopher Flowers, grandchildren, Bradden, Skylar (Bug), Annlea (Grace), mother, Sandra Williams, and brothers, Roger (Tiffany) Williams and Verlin Williams.

A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, March 16, 2025 at 12:00 pm at Hiwassee Baptist Church in Calhoun, TN with Pastor Stanley Liner and Pastor Bo Coleman officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm prior to the service. A graveside service is to follow at Hiwassee Baptist Church Cemetery with Bradden Flowers, Dakota Williams, Payton Hooker, and Phillip Hooker serving as pallbearers.
