Mattie "Sue" Cranfill Sneed

Sue Sneed, age 71, of Decatur, departed this life on Thursday morning, April 29, 2021 at her home. Born on November 13, 1949 to the late Chester and Florence Cranfill, she was a native and lifelong resident of Meigs County and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 23 years, William H. Sneed; brothers, Richard, Jimmy, and Johnny Cranfill; sisters, Anna Ruth Breeden, Karen Cranfill, and Tammy Kay Cranfill.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Annette Holappa(Heath); grandchildren, Megan Thurman and Christian Kincannon; brothers, David Cranfill(Anne) and Donnie Cranfill(Doris) ; sister, Diane Wright(Ken) ; two great-grandchildren; as well as several extended family members and a host of friends.
A Celebration of Life and Home going for Mattie “Sue” Cranfill Sneed will be held at 7p.m. on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at the Athens Chapel of Companion Funeral Home with Brother Jimmy Dunn officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation for the kind and compassionate care given by Charlie Lee and Sheile Erwin with Hospice of Chattanooga and her daily caregiver, Denise Shannon.
