Obituary

Matthew Tyler Yarber went to be with the Lord at the age of 21 on April 5, 2015 in his home in Cleveland, TN. He was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his grandmother Stella Yarber, aunt Lisa Pack, great grandmother Pauline Yarber and great grandparents Nellie and Harvel Saffels.

He is survived by his parents Becky and Scoop Aikens and Bryan and Brandy Yarber; one brother Isaiah Aikens; three sisters Morgan and Rain Yarber and Tamara Holden and husband Donnie; grandparent Ron Yarber, Debbie Davis, Marcia Williams, Janice and Jim Ford, Ronnie and Janet Saffels of Cleveland and Leonard Aikens Sr. of Baton Rouge, LA; one nephew Joseph Holden; one niece Abbigail Holden and several aunts, uncles, and cousins, and a special friend "Ricky Bobby" Miller.

He enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and loved ones, listening to music, fishing and working on just about anything. He loves the Lord and studied his bible daily. He enjoyed going to church and prayed for anyone who needed it. He was selfless and gave to many, always kind and giving. He always had a smile and had great faith in the Lord and will always be remembered.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday April 8th in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown RD NW, Cleveland, TN 37311. Interment will follow the service at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens with Donnie Holden, Benjie Pope, Jason Riley, Maurice Parks, Alfred Taylor, Jerry McDowell, Ricky Miller, and Chris Bradley serving as pallbearers. Dewayne Mollor, Tamara Holden, Brett Wilcox, Blake Wilcox, and Tim Gamble are serving as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday April 7th from 6:00pm-9:00pm and prior to the service on Wednesday from 1:00pm-2:00pm.
