Matthew Stovall

Matthew Kyle Stovall, 30, of Niota, TN passed away on February 1, 2025.

Matthew was born on April 1, 1994. Matthew (Camel) was a 2012 graduate of McMinn County High School and also graduated getting his CDL's to drive trucks.

He is survived by his mother, Sherry Youngs (Donald) of Niota, TN; father, William Stovall (Cynthia) of Hohenwald, TN; two brothers, Justin Stovall of Niota, TN and Kevin Stovall of Hohenwald, TN; three sisters, Samantha & Ashley Youngs of Athens, TN and Shayla Cook of Colorado; grandparents; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Matthew was a proud father of three beautiful children, Nikki Stovall (and her mother, Carly Bachor), and Alex and Skyler Stovall (and their mother,Jessica Jackson).

Matthew was a beloved member of East Niota Baptist Church, where he was involved with the youth group in his younger years. He loved to assist in feeding the homeless with his church family.

Matthew (Camel) enjoyed spending time with his cousins, family and friends, just hanging out, playing sports, playing video games, bowling and being his normal fun loving goofy self. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will be Sunday, February 9th from 1:00pm-2:00pm with a Memorial Service to follow at 2:00pm at Companion Funeral Home in Athens, TN.

Dinner will be provided after the services at 3:30pm at the East Niota Baptist Church in Niota, TN.
