Mary Sue Urban

Mary Sue Urban, 85 of Cleveland, TN passed away on December 25, 2016. She was born on February 4, 1931 to the late Raymond “Boney” and Lona Boring Lyle. Mary was a lifelong resident of Sweetwater, moving here in 2012. She will forever be remembered as a hardworking family woman. She loved playing cards and was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star. Mary worked as a bank teller in Sweetwater for 41 years and worked hard her whole life. Above all things, she was a tremendous mother, wife, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother who was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
In addition to her mother and father, she is preceded in death by her husband James Edward Urban and infant son Paul Urban.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her son Rodney Urban (Donna); brother Doug Lyle (Polly); grandchildren: Justin Urban, Corey Urban, Traci Elder, and Angie Underwood; great grandson David Elder; and special “sister” Maxine Swafford.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday December 28, 2016 at Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown RD NW, Cleveland, TN 37311 with Dr. Jay McCluskey officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00pm until the 2:00pm service. Interment will follow the service at Sweetwater Memorial Park in Sweetwater, TN.
