Mary R McCracken, 79, of Delano, Tennessee went home to be with her Savior on December 30, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family and a close family friend. Mary was a native and longtime resident of Bradley County, Tennessee before she and her family relocated to Polk County, Tennessee. She will be remembered for being a hard worker and helper on the family farm. A loving mother, and a sweet Christian lady. She never had a bitter spirit or complaint during her 35-year battle with rheumatoid arthritis.
Mary is proceeded in death by her husband, Bill McCracken; parents, Marvin and Edna Renner; two brothers, Vernon and Carl Renner and a daughter-in-law, Sandra Cantrell.
Mary is survived by her children- Steve Cantrell of Cleveland, Howard McCracken (Jeannette) of Delano, Carson McCracken (Cayci) of Athens and Denise Dunn (Don) of Old Fort. Her five grandsons also survive her -David McCracken (Shelby) of Sturgis, South Dakota, Logan McCracken of Etowah, Ethan McCracken of Nashville, Jacob and Jonathan Dunn of Old Fort, and two great granddaughters, Merida and Eliza McCracken. Mary will be missed by many family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at Companion Funeral Homes in Cleveland located at 2419 Georgetown Road in Cleveland, TN from 5-7pm. There will be a graveside service on Thursday morning, January 5, 2023, at 11:00 AM at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Cleveland, TN.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers please make contributions to either Macedonia World Baptist Missions in Braselton, GA or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
