Mary Jane Pierce, 68, born on November 1, 1955, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on August 15, 2024. She lived a full and vibrant life, always finding joy in staying busy and active. Mary Jane was incredibly proud of her family, cherishing her role as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her love and dedication to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren was evident throughout her life.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Selva Haney of Cleveland, and brother Hubert Junior Haney of Cleveland. She is survived by her husband, James Pierce of Cleveland; Daughter Shauna (Shaun) Cavett of Georgetown, TN; Sons Shane Falls, and Lester "L.J." (Shelley) Falls both of Cleveland; Step-sons Josh (Darrie) Pierce of Cleveland, and Jim (Lauren) Pierce of Annapolis, Maryland; Step-daughter Jenny (Ed) Gil of Knoxville, TN; Grandchildren Taylor (Riley) Brashier, Drew Cavett, Jordan Cavett, Ryan Pierce, Jimmy Pierce, Billy Joe Pierce, Joe Pierce, Jackson Pierce, Dolan (Ella) Walker, Joseph (Madi) Walker, Caiden Miller, Katelynn Miller; Sister Juanita (Gary) Houston of Cleveland; Brother Eugene (Linda) Haney of Georgetown, TN; several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mary Jane will be remembered for her boundless energy, her warm smile, and her unwavering love for her family. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and devotion that will continue to inspire those who knew her. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of her loved ones.
Pallbearers for her celebration of life service will be Drew Cavett, Jordan Cavett, Ryan Pierce, Billy Joe Pierce, Scott Houston, and Junior Haney.
The family will receive friends on Monday, August 19, 2024, from 12:00 PM until 3:00 PM in the original chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 2415 Georgetown Road. A service celebrating Mary Jane's life will follow the visitation time at 3:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with the Reverend Riley Brashier, the Reverend Rick Haney and the Reverend Homer Roberts officiating. Interment will follow in the Cedar Springs Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
