Mary Markham

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary Helen Markham, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, on December 9, 2024, at the age of 92. Born on February 18, 1932, in San Pedro, California, Mary lived a vibrant life filled with love, laughter, and the joy of travel.

Mary had a zest for life that was truly contagious. She was known for her love of social gatherings, and she never missed a chance to dance and have fun. A dedicated reader and a passionate cat lover, she brought warmth and joy to everyone around her. As a grandmother, she was simply wonderful, showering her grandchildren with love and attention.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Helen Wheeler; her husband, William Lester Markham; her sister, Kathleen Whelchel; brother Ray Wheeler and her daughter, Deborah Christine Hebner and grandaughter: Maria Anne Marano. She is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Julia Zavala and Leslie Eileen Kay, and her son Patrick Raymond Willis; her brother, George Wheeler; and her cherished grandchildren: Matthew Zavala, Katie Pray, Michael Okano, Sean Okano, Rebecca Garner, Jennifer Kloosterhuis, and Sarah Hebner; great grandchildren: Matthew Okano, Katelyn Okano, Brayden Okano, and Benjamin Kloosterhuis.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no public services at this time.

Mary will be deeply missed, but she leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
