Mary Lou Franks

Mary Lou Franks, 85, a resident of Cleveland, TN passed away on Friday, October 14, 2022, at her home. She was born on May 17, 1937, in Port St. Joe, FL a daughter of the late Joseph Railey & Ella Jane Pitts Railey. Our mother grew up in hard times with a large family and not alot of means. She also fought to make sure her family had what they needed. She instilled in us great values and will be greatly missed. Til we meet again mom.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband U. L. Franks, one son Joe Kitchens and two grandchildren Joey & T. J. Kitchens.

Mary leaves behind to honor her memory, two sons Tony Kitchens of Rockmart, GA and Tim Franks of Villa Rice, GA, one daughter Iva Franks of Cleveland, TN, three daughters-in-law Miriam Kitchens of Rockmart, GA, Sharon Kitchens of Cartersville, GA and Trina Ingram of Cleveland, TN, six grandchildren Josh Kitchens, Caleb Kitchens, Corey Kitchens, Randy Franks, April Lovett and Monica Elton, many loving great grandchildren, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.

A graveside service is planned for Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at 1:00 PM in the Pine Ridge Memorial Cemetery located at 2950 N Cobb Parkway in Kennesaw, GA with the Reverend Guinn Green officiating.
