Mary Katherine Emerson

Mary Katherine Emerson, 77, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, TN, passed away on Tuesday morning, August 2nd, 2016. She was greatly loved and will be dearly missed.
She was the daughter of the late Edgar and Elva Smith. She is also preceded in death by her brothers, Roy Smith, Ronald Smith, and Glen Fredrick “Jack” Smith.
Survivors include her children, Varonda Casteel, of Calhoun, TN, Sherry Martin (Ralph Jr.), of Gray, GA, Mark Emerson (Ruth Ann), of Cleveland, TN, and Michael Emerson (Nick Whitworth) of Dayton, TN; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.
A memorial service will be held for friends and family at 11:00AM on Thursday, August 4th, 2016, at Companion Funeral Home, located at 2419 Georgetown Road NW, with Brother Van Smith officiating the service.
