Mary Elizabeth Moses

Mary Elizabeth Moses, 82, a lifelong resident of McMinn County passed away on Monday, February 20th, 2017 at Brookwood Nursing Home in Decatur, TN. She was born on January 29th, 1935 in Athens, TN a daughter of the late Cam & Arie Emmal Boggess.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband and the father of her children James Akens, also by her second husband James Moses, one son David Akens, siblings Patsy Murray, Ruby Rue, Faye Boggess, Ross Boggess, Roy Boggess and Ray Boggess.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory one son Robert Akens, six grandchildren Bobby Akens, Ruthie Akens, David Akens (Stacie), Josh Akens, Keith Akens (Tasha) and Sherry Rogers (Dewayne), eight great grandchildren, sisters Ivie Hall, Ruth Bowers, Pauline Hickman (Randy), Margie Carway (Allen), Emma Webb (Stan), Bobbie Boggess, brother J. C. Boggess, Lloyd Boggess (Judy), Floyd Boggess (Geraldine) and Jamie Boggess (Christy), numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.

A graveside service is planned for Thursday, February 23rd, 2017 at 4:00 PM in the Clearwater Baptist Church Cemtery with her brother the Reverend Floyd Boggess officiating.
