Obituary
Mary McNealy, 59, of Cleveland, TN died at her home on Tuesday October 22, 2013. She leaves behind her loving husband of 41 years Joe McNealy, 2 daughters Erin Kathleen McNealy of Chattanooga, TN, Ryan McNealy Morehead of Spartanburg, SC son-in-law Mason Morehead and granddaughter Charlotte Rose Morehead also of Spartanburg, SC, 3 brothers Michael, Patrick and Brian O’Rourke, nieces Katie O’Rourke and Rita O’Rourke all of Cleveland, TN. She is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
Mary was born in Akron, OH and moved to TN in 1976 with her husband Joe. They raised their two daughters Ryan and Erin in Cleveland. Mary was a beloved mother and wife. She taught English at Dalton High School for the last 14 years. Mary loved her students and teaching with a passion. She loved her church family and has been a faithful member of St. Therese of Lisiuex Catholic Church in Cleveland for 30 years. Mary enjoyed reading, shopping and most of all spending time with friends and family especially her granddaughter Charlotte Rose.
A celebration of Mary’s life is planned for Saturday October 26th at St. Therese of Liseux Catholic Church 900 Clingan Ridge Drive Cleveland, TN 37312. A rosary will be said at 9:00 AM, receiving of friends will be from 9:30-10:30 AM and a funeral Mass will begin 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Northwest Georgia Girls Home at 508 Chattanooga Avenue Dalton, GA 30720.
