Frances Couch, 89, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, November 23. She was born in Old Fort, TN and lived most of her life in Benton. She was a 1953 graduate of Polk County High School. She was of the Baptist faith and came from a long line of ministers. She spent many years in the sewing industry at Kellmans and Benton Manufacturing before becoming a candy maker. She was the 2 nd employee hired by M&M Mars when they came to town and was there until her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her husband Willard Couch, parents, Luther and Mollie (Davis) Wilson; her sisters: Lois Mantooth, Inez Crenshaw, Mildred Sparks, Vera Sue Wilson, Nina Prichard, Barbara Kyle, Charlotte Gibson, Janice Wilson; her brothers: Jack Wilson, Bud Wilson, Bill Wilson, Marshall Wilson, and Johnny Wilson.
She is survived by sister in laws, Peggy Wilson, Sandy Goode (Gerald), Paige Vernarsky and Liz Lively (Eddie) and many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff at Charter Senior Living for their constant care, support and devotion over the last 7 years.
All friends and family are welcome to the graveside services which will held on December 2, 2023 at 11am at Benton Memorial Gardens.
