Martin Donlin, age 76, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away on January 17, 2025. He was born in Sidney, New York, and later lived in Jericho, Vermont, before moving to Cleveland, Tennessee.
A proud veteran of the U.S. Army, Martin served at the rank of Sergeant and completed two tours in Vietnam. He was a graduate of Unatego High School, Class of 1966, and earned an associate degree in Information Technology from RCA Institute in New York City.
Martin had a deep passion for electronics and enjoyed working on them throughout his life. He was an avid bird feeder and spent countless hours tending to the birds in his yard. Martin also loved playing Xbox and was an active participant in the online community, especially enjoying daily games of Words with Friends, where he connected with people from all over the world.
In his professional life, Martin worked at the University of Vermont Medical Center as a financial officer. His work was an integral part of the institution, and he made meaningful contributions to the center during his tenure.
Martin is survived by his brother, Richard Donlin (Vickie); sister, Joyce Mikolaicyk (John); stepchildren, Amy Marshal (Aaron), Tim Leclair (Laurie); several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Gail, his father, Martin Donlin; mother, Marjorie Donlin; brother, Robert Donlin; who has a surviving spouse, Janice; as well as his brother, Thomas Donlin.
Martin will be remembered for his generous spirit, love of technology, and his ability to connect with others through shared experiences. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Services will be held later by the family in Late Spring, Early Summer 2025
