**Obituary for Martha Kerley**

Martha Ann Kerley, age 77, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 30, 2024, in La Fayette, GA. A cherished wife, mother, and grandmother, Martha's life was one of unwavering love and devotion to her family and faith. A faithful member of the Nazarene Church, she spent her days trusting and serving her Lord with a joyful spirit.

Ann, as everyone called her, had a gift for creating warmth and comfort in her home. She loved to sew and found great joy in preparing meals, especially during the Christmas and Thanksgiving seasons when her family gathered. Her children and grandchildren were the light of her life, each one held deeply in her heart. She especially adored camping and fishing with her beloved husband, Dennis, with whom she shared a love beyond measure.

Known for her friendly and welcoming nature, Martha never met a stranger. She loved sharing conversations and connecting with others. However, her happiest moments were when she was cradling a grandchild in her arms, sharing her love and wisdom.

Martha is survived by her loving husband, Dennis L. Kerley Jr.; sons Dennis (Theresa) Kerley III, Darryl (Tanya) Kerley, and Danny Kerley; and her treasured grandchildren: Amber (Jeff) Dunn, Dennis Kerley IV, Paiton (Drew) Gibson, Ally (Allen Cook) Kerley and McKenzie (Kevin) Bethune and their Mother and Ann's Daughter in Law Amanda Kerley, Mary (Anthony Garrett) Kerley, and Donovan Kerley. She also leaves behind her precious great-grandchildren: Abbey Dunn, Hazel Gibson, Skylar Dunn, Weston Garrett, Walker Gibson, and a new blessing on the way, along with several nieces, nephews and cousin's. Life long friends, Connie and Ernie Wilson.

Martha was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Claude Broom and Estelle Templeton Broom.

The family finds comfort in knowing that Martha is at peace, rejoicing in her heavenly home. Final care for Mrs. Kerley has been entrusted to Companion Funeral and Cremation Service, Chattanooga Chapel.

There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
