Martha Elizabeth Hooker

Martha (Becky) Hooker,72, of Birchwood, TN, went home to be with the Lord on December 10, 2019 at her residence in Cleveland, TN after she won her courageous battle with cancer.She was a LPN for 44 years and a gospel singer for 25 years. Becky was a member of Victory Faith Church and loved singing for the Lord, crafting, helping people, spending time with her family and cooking.

Preceded in death by her father, George Melton; mother, Pauline Melton; first husband, Wayne Hooker; Second Husband, Richard Dye; several brothers and sisters; granddaughter, Kayla Freeman.

Survived by her daughters, Melanie Lawson, Meredith (Shane) Hicks, Misty (Bobby Tompson) Nichols, all of Cleveland, TN; Step-children: Tina (Ken) Maxwell and Richard Dye; siblings, Donnie Melton, Carole Henry, Diane (Roy) Williams, all of Cleveland, TN; grandchildren, Candace (Tyler) Maddux, Dallas (Brittany) Nichols, Brittany Hicks, Alexis (Dakota) Perry and Cassidy (Luis) Perez-Ramos; great grandchildren, Sophia Maddux; special thanks to Carole & Diane who took special care of Becky in the last part of her life.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 13, 2019 from 10-2 PM at Victory Faith COG with the service to follow at 2:00 PM with Pastor Gary Farris officiating. Burial will be held at McInturff Cemetery.
