Martha Brown

Martha Sue Rogers Brown, 89, of Cleveland, TN, went home to be with the Lord on May 12, 2024. Martha was a lifelong resident of Cleveland, married to the love of her life, Joseph Paul (JP) Brown, Jr. She was retired from the U.S. Forest Service and a member of the United Methodist Church.

The loss of Martha is deeply felt by her family. She is preceded in death by her husband, J.P. Brown, Jr., her parents, Oscar and Hallie Rogers, and her siblings, Tommy Rogers, Ellen Jean McSpadden, Edward Rogers, and Mary Moore, all of Cleveland, TN.

She is survived by her daughter Kathy and Randall Ownby of Cleveland, TN. Her grandchildren include Becky Ownby-Brady, Stephen and Mary Ownby, and David and Tiffany Ownby, all of Cleveland, TN. Her great-grandchildren are Bryan Ownby, Sydney and Brandon Nations, Addison Ownby, Olivia Ownby, and Cameron Ownby, all of Cleveland. She also has several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at the visitation, which will be held at Companion Funeral Home of Cleveland on Saturday, May 18th, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The graveside service, a final farewell to Martha, will be held at 2 p.m. at the Laurel Hill Lebanon Cemetery on Lebanon Valley Church Road.
