Martha B. Evans

Martha B. Evans, 92, a resident of Cleveland, TN, passed away on Monday, January 09, 2017. She was born on October 05, 1924 to the late Adolphus Brown and Sallie Lawson Brown. Martha was a member of the Chilcutt United Methodist Church in Cleveland. She was an avid bowler and thoroughly enjoyed traveling with her team. Martha was also known for her great love of sports. She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by all that knew her.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, John R. Evans, Jr.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children, Janis Wilkey (Boofer), Peggy Lowe, and Debby Waddell (Steve); step-son, Gale Patrick Evans (Jean); grandchildren, Jonathan Baugh, Amanda Waddell, Nick Lowe, Monica Stephens, Stephanie Barefield, and Brett Waddell; step-grandchildren, Cynthia Evans, Kimberly Evans, Michael Evans, and Scott Evans, along with numerous great-grandchildren, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service is planned for 3:00pm on Thursday, January 12, 2017 in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home, located at 2419 Georgetown Road NW, Cleveland. Burial is to follow the service in the Chilcutt United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Prior to the service, the family will receive friends, from 1:00pm until the 3:00pm service time, at the funeral home.
