Marlon Douglas Clayton

Marlon Douglas Clayton , 61, of Cleveland, TN passed away on Saturday September 17, 2016. He was born on May 10, 1955 to the late Gerald Clayton and Betty Jo Kelley.
Marlon was a lifelong resident of this area. He loved watching football and was a Tennessee Vols fan. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, that he loved dearly.
In addition to his mother and father, he is preceded in death by one grandson Cameron James Douglas McDaniel.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 39 years, Kathy Clayton, son Adam Clayton (Samara); daughters Sarah McDaniel (Bobby), Kelly Roberson (Timothy); brothers Barry Clayton and Curtis Clayton (Donna); sisters Linda Chastain (Ron), Anita Hambright (Jeff), Cindy Swafford, and Robin Rogers (Brian); grandchildren: Jonathan Clayton, Lilly Clayton, Cathryn Thomas, Madison Thomas, Julianna Thomas, Journey McDaniel, Hayden McDaniel, Emily McDaniel, Rebecca Cannon, and Hannah Cannon.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday September 20, 2016 at Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown RD NW, Cleveland, TN 37311. The family will receive friends from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home on Monday September 19, 2016. Interment will follow the service at Center Point Cemetery on Tuesday.
