Marlene Taylor, 84, of Cleveland, TN passed away on July 31th, 2015 in her own home. She was born in Roscoe, IL on August 4th, 1930 to the late Wilber Adwell and the former Margaret Baker. Mrs. Taylor was a loving wife of thirty two years and a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was a dedicated military wife and was very patriotic. Mrs. Taylor enjoyed sewing, reading and just being at home. She was a Historian for the Naugatuck United Methodist Church; she wrote a book that did not get a chance to be published, and in the 1940s she was a member of the Quill and Scroll Society.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband; Joseph Taylor, one brother; Mark Adwell, and one sister.
She is survived by one daughter; Colette Taylor, two sisters; Betty Edwards, Lucille Caples, and one granddaughter.
Memorial Services will be held at Westley United Methodist Church Thursday August 6th, 2015 at 7:00PM. Visitation will be at the church from 4:00p.m. until 6:00p.m.
In lieu of flowers please send donations to P.O. Box 2603 Cleveland, TN 37320 which will be sent to various charities.
