Marlene Baxter Mccoy

Marlene Baxter McCoy,age 69, of Cleveland, departed this life on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at her residence. Born in Michigan on September 6, 1951 to late Jimmie and Flora Baxter, she spent a majority of her life in Bradley County and was an active member of Washington Ave Baptist Church. Marlene loved her church, singing in the choir, and spending time with her family and friends.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her loving and devoted husband of 53 years, Jimmy McCoy, Sr; children, Jimmy McCoy II (Teresa) and Malissa McCoy Anderson(Steve); grandchildren, Joshua McCoy, Victoria Anderson , and Alexis Anderson; sisters, Ruth Cross(Roy) and Freda Powell Hawkins; brother, Donald Baxter; sister-in-law, Sue Calloway; several nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends.
A Celebration of Life and Home going for Marlene Baxter McCoy will be held at 7p.m. Tuesday, January 12 from the Cleveland Chapel of Companion Funeral Home with Brother Daniel White and Brother Gary Higgins officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6p.m. until the funeral hour.
