Marjorie Belle Blevins

Obituary

Marjorie Belle Blevins, 90, of Cleveland, TN passed away on April 29, 2015 at a Cleveland hospital. She was born on August 18, 1924 to the late Martin Luther and Virginia Blanche Wolfe. Marge was a lifelong educator and graduate of Peabody College in Nashville, TN. She was a very active member and volunteer of Broad Street United Methodist Church. Marge enjoyed many things and hobbies throughout her life. Traveling domestic and internationally and breeding and showing Hackney Ponies throughout the 1960s and 1970s are just a few of many things she loved to do. Above the many things she will be remembered for, Marge was a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to all who knew her. She will be forever remembered and greatly missed.
In addition to her mother and father, she is preceded in death by two husbands Luther Martin Mullins and William Trotter Blevins; daughter Marsha Gail Mullins; brother Martin Bumpus Wolfe; granddaughter Virginia Lynn Greer.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory 3 children: Marjorie Jeanette Mayo of Clarksville, TN, son Philip Martin Mullins (Mary) of Ooltewah, TN and Marie Ann Arp; seven grandchildren: Lisa Mae Anderson, David Bain Mullins, Thomas Darren Mullins, Jerry Andrew Greer Jr., Cerena Jan Albright, Michael Todd Greer, and Terry Lee Howard. In addition to these, she leaves behind several great grandchildren and extended family members and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30am on Saturday May 2, 2015 at Broad Street United Methodist Church located at 155 Central Ave. NW, Cleveland, TN 37311. The family will receive friends on Saturday at the church from 9:30am until the time of the service.
A private family interment will be held at Fort Hill Cemetery in Cleveland, TN.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Broad Street United Methodist Church Scholarship Fund.
