Marion Mckinley Hamby

Marion McKinley Hamby, 87, Tellico Plains, passed away on August 5, 2023. He was born on September 16, 1935 in Epperson to the late Dewey and Mamie (Massingale) Hamby.

Marion was preceded in death by his wife, Gearlene (Shaw) Hamby.

He is survived by his children, Brooks (Delaine) Hamby, Justin (Michele) Hamby, Monica Holloway; siblings, A.J. Hamby, Edrew Hamby, Margaret (Hamby) Hatchet, Hazel (Hamby) Dalton, Newbert Hamby, Ruby (Hamby) Nickolson, Rose (Hamby) Kimsy, L.B. Hamby, Wanda (Hamby) Wilbun, Linda (Hamby) Nix; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Marion’s daughter in-law, Delaine for all of her love and care for Marion.

The family will receive friends on Thursday evening, August 10, 2023 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Sandy Lane Missionary Church located at 1137 New Highway 68 Tellico Plains, TN 37385. A service celebrating his life will conclude the visitation time at 7:00 PM with Pastor Johnny Stewart officiating.
