Marion Creed Payne

Marion Creed Payne, 86, of Cleveland, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2020 at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga. He retired from Magic Chef-Maytag after 34 years. He was a member of Altoona Baptist Church of Coker Creek, TN. Marion loved his family, God and his flowers.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gay and Rosa Roberts Payne; brothers, Paul, Dean, Beacher, J.C., and Dale Payne; sisters, Opal, Barbara, Geneva (Dewey) Massey; and grandson, Christopher Payne.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife of 66 years, Leota Taylor Payne; sons, Jim (Donnas Massey) Payne and Chuck (Christy Rogers) Payne; brother, Ted Payne; granddaughter, Kaylee Payne and Nick of Wisconsin; grandsons, Joshua (Sara Tait) Payne of Powell, TN, and Tanner Payne of North Carolina; great-granddaughter, Gwendolyn Payne of Powell, TN; great-grandson, Clark Payne of Powell, TN; sisters-in-law, Jean Hall and Ersa Brannon; and a host of nieces and nephews who loved him.
