Marie Wynette Payne, beloved mother, daughter, sister and friend too many, passed away on August 28, 2024 in her hometown of Cleveland Tennessee. She was born on November 7, 1967 and leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that will be cherished by all who knew her. Marie was born to Dale Payne and Violet Ratledge along with her siblings, Connie Morrison, Rhonda Mason, Brenda Kelly, Tony Ratledge and Brandy Ratledge.

Marie's life was defined by the deep love she held for her family. Her daughters Takiesha Payne, Samantha Foster (husband Steven Foster), Beth Payne, son Adam Blackwell, were the center of her world. Also to include Jason, Crystal, and Heather Rose, her stepchildren. She poured every ounce of herself into being a devoted mother and grandmother. Her passion for her children and grandchildren knew no bounds. She is also survived by many of her wonderful grandchildren, Savannah, Andrew, Jaden, Kaydence, Kaelynnn, Logan, Kelby, Ava Rose and Kolson and countless nieces and nephews.

Marie had an unwavering strength that allowed her to face any challenge head on without ever turning away from it. She was the rock upon which so many leaned during difficult times - always ready with open arms and a listening ear for those in need.

Her love for nature took Marie to both the sandy Florida beaches and the mountains of Tennessee whenever she could steal away sometime time from her busy life as a dedicated mother. The memories created during these moments will forever hold a special place in the heart of those who shared them with Marie.

Those closest to Marie knew that she possessed an incredible sense of humor that brightened even the darkest days, her infectious laughter filled rooms with joy wherever she went, leaving everyone around her smiling or laughing along with her.

In addition to being known for spreading joy through laughter, Marie also had talents - creating delicious meals loved by all who tasted them from colorful rugs adorning floors to delectable peanut butter pies, and mouthwatering lasagnas made by the pounds - there seemed no end to what Marie could create out of nothing at all.

The loss of such an extraordinary soul has left an irreplaceable void in our lives, but we take comfort, knowing that we carry within us countless cherished memories created alongside this remarkable woman whose lot touched so many lives.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-2 "To everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted."

John14:1-4 "Do not let your heart be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My father's house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I'm going there to prepare place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I'm going."
