Marie Cardin Bivens

Marie Cardin Bivens, age 95, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 31, 2018, in Madisonville, TN. Marie was born on March 18, 1923 in Knoxville, TN, the daughter of Sherman Cardin and Virgie (Henry) Cardin. She married her husband, Homer J. Bivens on July 22, 1941. She attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Madisonville, TN.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two brothers, Ralph Cardin and Tommy Cardin, three sons, Jerry Bivens, Jack Bivens, and Eddie Bivens and two daughters Rosalene Bivens and Sandra “Shannon” Harris.

She is survived by three sons, Harold Bivens, Daniel Bivens and Randy Bivens and two daughters Katrina Logan and Lisa Garren Gonzales. She is also survived by a host of many grandchildren and great grandchildren, two Sisters Aliene Simpson and Louise Brantley and a host of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service is planned for Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses located at 5186 New Highway 68 in Madisonville, TN. Family and friends are asked to arrive by 1:30 PM and the service will begin at 2:00 PM.
