Obituary

Maria Ramona Lawson, 83, a resident of Cleveland, TN went home to be with the Lord on Thursday morning, July 10th, 2014 at her home. She was born and raised in Tererro, NM a daughter of the late Encarnacion and Ignacita Rivera. Maria was a lady of great faith, always busy, loved to work outside and enjoyed feeding the hummingbirds, daisies and Christmas Poinsettias. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a daughter Sheree L. Garrett, and three siblings Albert Rivera Sr., Carmel (Polly) Rivera and John Carnie (Junior) Rivera.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband Rev. Boyd C. Lawson, son James C. Lawson, daughter Sondra L. Bennett, grandchildren Chon Lawson, Tawny Sweeney, Chanda Cock, Mark Sweeney, Brittnee Diaz, Ashley Lawson, Josh Bennett, Marissa Bennett and Shae Bennett, great grandchildren Kianna, Destiny, Chase, Maya, Austin, Amber Lynn, Jaycee, Rylee, Zoey, Albree, Weland, Justyce & Beau. She is also survived by numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.

A celebration of her life is planned for Saturday, July 12th, 2014 at 2:00 PM at The Church of Jesus Christ located at 800 Benton Pike NE in Cleveland, TN with Reverend Dennis Hicks officiating.

The family will receive friends at the church starting on Friday night, July 11th, 2014 at 6:00 PM until the 2:00 PM Saturday service time.

The burial will take place later in Tererro, NM.
