Margie Sanders

Margie Lee Sanders, 71, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away on January 1st, 2024. She was born on July 13th, 1952 to Floyd Woods and Ruby Harrison in Lafayette, Tennessee. She was one of five siblings Jean, Harold, Darrell, and Donnie.

In 1984, Lee met Mike Sanders in Nashville, Tennessee. Prior to meeting Mike, she had Ashlee, a daughter from a previous marriage. Lee and Mike went on to have two children, Daniel and Jessica. She went on to be an office manager for Ed's Supply for over 30 years.

She had a real zeal for life and took the utmost pride in her three children who she guided, supported, and deeply adored as they adored her. Her capacity to love and her gentle sweetness and goofy sense of humor made sure anyone couldn't be in her presence for long without their day being made better. She was humble, unyieldingly selfless and kind, there wasn't a person who needed her help that was turned away.

Lee's generosity expanded not only through the community but through her church family as she was a faithful member of the Central Church of Christ in Cleveland, TN for over 27 years. She was a devout Christian who truly embodied what it meant to live a Christ-like life.

Lee was predeceased by Michael Sanders, Floyd Woods, Mildred Woods, Donnie Woods, Darrell Woods, and Jean Burton. She is survived by her children Ashlee Cook, Daniel Sanders, Jessica Sanders and her brother, Harold Woods. She is also survived by several relatives and a large host of people who loved her like family.
