Margaret Virginia Queen

Margaret Virginia Queen, 87, of Sweetwater, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2022. Margaret was born in Sweetwater, Tennessee on June 18, 1935, to the late Will C. and Louise Carter. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, and loved her cats. Margaret was a Southern Baptist and loved the Lord.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Ulys Queen, and her sister, Mary Queen.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughters, Vinia (Rodger) Moore, Trenia (Lewis) Kellar, and Melissa Snyder; two sons, James “Jim” Queen, and Thomas “Tom” Queen; her grandchildren, Justin Tuttle, Thomas Queen Jr., James Queen Jr., Rachel Kellar, and Storm Queen; her four great grandchildren; along with a host of extended family and friends.

A Celebration of life service will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at Companion Funeral Home of Athens at 2:00 pm with Pastor Justin Tuttle and Jeremy Tuttle officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 12:00 pm – 2:000 pm prior to the service.

Interment will follow the service in the Christiansburg Baptist Church cemetery in Sweetwater, TN with Pastor Carl Croft officiating.
