Obituary
Margaret C. Davis, 88, a resident of Cleveland passed away at her home on Wednesday morning January 11, 2012. Margaret was born on March 14, 1923 a daughter of the late Homer Vernon Sr. and Ellen Mae Rue Vernon. She was a lifelong resident of the Cleveland area. Margaret was a very happy and loving person, a wonderful mother and grandmother who took great pride in taking care of her family.
Margaret is also preceded in death by her husband Herman D. “Bud” Davis Sr., three brothers Alfred Vernon, Homer Vernon Jr., and James Robert Vernon, daughter-in-law Peggy Davis and granddaughter Leanne Davis.
She leaves here to cherish her memory three sons Herman D. Davis Jr., Robert Ted Davis and wife Carrie, and Dennis Ray Davis and wife Darlene, four grandchildren Mike Davis, Burt Davis, Roger Gerald, and Renee Pugh, three great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
The funeral service will be on Friday, January 13, 2012 at 7:00 PM at the Clingan Ridge Baptist Church located at 2412 Georgetown Road NW, Cleveland, TN with the Reverend Art Jones officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the church on Friday prior to the service. Interment will be on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Hillcrest Memory Gardens.
