Obituary

Margaret Alene Henson, 72, a lifelong resident of Charleston, TN passed away on Thursday night, February 27th, 2014 at the home of her daughter in Decatur, TN. Margaret was born in Cleveland, TN on December 31st, 1941 a daughter of the late Ralph Smith and Flora Belle Kendrick. She was of the Baptist faith. Margaret worked for thirty five plus years with the Holiday Inn of Cleveland until her retirement from there in 2006. She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her grandson Nikk. When he was growing up she loved working puzzle books with him. Some of her other hobbies included watching Westerns and flower gardening to name a few.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death her husband Norman Henson, two daughters Shelia Kendrick and Donna Maddux, one son Arnold Henson and two brothers Pete Kendrick and Jimmy Kendrick.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory one daughter and her husband Kim & Jerry Millsaps of Decatur, TN, one son-in-law Lebron Maddux, one grandson, Nikk Maddux, four sisters Linda Murphy (Dennis), Coleen Carroll, Brenda Wilcoxon and Janice Kendrick, one brother Melvin Kendrick, numerous other extended family members, co-workers from Holiday Inn and a host of special friends.

A celebration of her life is planned for Monday night, March 3rd, 2014 at 7:00 PM at the Stuart Park Baptist Church located at 850 17th Street in Cleveland, TN with the Reverend Daniel Malone officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 5:00 PM until the 7:00 PM service time.

The interment and committal service will take place on Tuesday afternoon, March 4th, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Fort Hill Cemetery with Alan Buchanan, Chris Haney, Andy Scoggins, Manuel Maddux, Jackie Kendrick and Taylor Lambert serving as pallbearers.
