Marcus Edward King

Marcus Edward King, age 59 of Delano, departed this life on February 19, 2022 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center following a sudden illness while surrounded by his family. Born on October 18, 1962 in Warren County, Tennessee to Cecil Edward and Evelyn Pearl King, he served as the environmental, Health and Safety Manager at Polartec LLC, in Cleveland and was a longtime member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was an extremely loving and caring person and loved being a Papa.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lucinda Pearl King and niece, Hannah Barnes.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Tammy Smith King; son, Kenneth Edward King(Mea McBride), daughters, Tabitha Buckner(Daniel) and Lyndsey Buck(James); sister, Cindy Barnes; brother, Tim King; grandchildren, Jaxon King, Eli Beaty, Kenya Buckner, Kaylee and Nevaeh Buck, Dyson McBride, Colter Link, Bryson and Noah Jones; special friend, Diane Jones; several nieces, nephews, and a host of extended family and friends.
A Gathering of family and friends will be held from 3p.m. until 7p.m. on Tuesday at the Cleveland Chapel of Companion Funeral Home.
