Marco Elizabeth “Beth” Little, 57, of Anderson, S.C., passed away on Sept. 19, 2021. She was born on Feb. 28, 1964, in Cleveland, Tenn. Beth was a 1982 graduate of Cleveland High School and 1986 graduate of Middle Tennessee State University. An avid Clemson Tigers fan, she enjoyed watching and attending sporting events. Beth’s other favorite pastimes included baking, listening to country music, reading, shopping and vacationing at the beach. Beth was also quite fond of her dog, Sophie. Boasting friends far and wide, Beth was loved dearly and will be greatly missed by all who knew and cared for her.
Following a hard-fought battle, Beth succumbed to colon cancer, bringing a premature ending to a wonderful life characterized by compassion, kindness and loyalty. Beth forged a successful career path in office management, but her primary focus in adulthood was her role as a doting mother, a part she played to perfection. A faithful Christian — and former member of First Baptist Cleveland — who walked the good walk from start to finish, Beth will be remembered for her everlasting grace, humility and servitude.
Beth is predeceased by her father, R.L. Scoggins; grandparents, Jack and Marco Wilson and Clyde and Mary Ruth Scoggins; and father-in-law, John Little.
Beth leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband, DuPre Little of Anderson; son, Cole Little of Anderson; mother, Jackie Scoggins of Cleveland; sister, Susan Scoggins of Cleveland; mother-in-law, Ida Little of Rock Hill, S.C.; great-aunt and great-uncle, Lillian Aiken of Etowah, Tenn., and Stanley Smith (Jerri) of Cleveland; aunts and uncles, Susie Stanfield (Terry), Joe Wilson (Pandy), Ginger Savage (Barry), Eulas Scoggins (Linda) and Carolyn Scoggins, all of Cleveland; and cousins, Hannah Boruff (Brian) and sons, Jeb and Jax, Chad Savage (Abby), Savannah Shell (Justin), Conner Wilson, Amy Carroll (Charles) and son, David, all of Cleveland, and Melody Lay (Stephen) and sons, Matthew, Andrew, Gregory and John Patrick, all of San Antonio.
A graveside celebration of life will take place at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 1, at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Jim Gibson will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in Beth’s memory to the Colon Cancer Coalition, the Colon Cancer Foundation, the Colorectal Cancer Alliance or any other organization dedicated to eliminating cancer.
