Obituary
Marcella Ann “Marcy” Kelley, 62, a resident of Flintstone, GA passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday night December 22, 2011 surrounded by her family. Marcella was born in Chattanooga on February 4, 1949 and spent the majority of her life here in the Chattanooga/Flintstone GA area.
While Marcella was at Chattanooga Valley High School she a drum major in the band and active in the Beta club. She was a gifted florist working for many area florists and also owning her own shop for a period of time. Marcella was a member of the Church of Christ in Mulberry Grove, IL. Her passion was taking care of others especially her many pets which she affectionately called her “Babies”.
She was a daughter of the later Lloyd Raymond and Robbie Muriel Kelley. She was also preceded in death by an infant son Robert Jerome Durham and one brother Robert Lloyd Kelley.
Marcella leaves behind to cherish her memory a nephew Robert Dustin Kelley, a niece Kimberly K. Kelley, a great aunt Bessie Rench of Mulberry Grove, IL, one great nephew Dillon Lee D Errico, and one great niece Ashlee Nicole D Errico. She also is survived by numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family members.
The funeral service will be on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at the Chattanooga Valley Church of Christ located at 419 North Nick A Jack Road, Flintstone, GA 30725. The family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 AM until the 1:00 PM service time on Wednesday. Interment will follow in the Forest Hills Cemetery.
