Maggie Ann Black Sims

Maggie Sims, age 47 of Cleveland, departed this life on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Tennova Healthcare of Cleveland. Born on September 25, 1973, she was a native and lifelong resident of Bradley County and attended Echoes of Mercy Baptist Church. Maggie was employed at Whirlpool for the past 25 years and also worked with the Bradley County Parks and Recreation for the past 12 plus years. She spent most of her life at ballfields, either playing, watching her children, or working and loved going to estate sales and cooking and baking at Christmas; but above all, the focus of her life was her family whom she loved with all her heart.
She was preceded in death by her adoptive father, Bobby Black; maternal grandparents, Chester and Eunice Mysinger; niece, Raven Rose Black; and aunt, Marian Murphy.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 25 years, Steve Sims; children, Samantha Edwards, Jeremiah Sims, Ava Grace Sims, and Logan Armstrong; mother, Peggy Ann Black; father, Robert Sharpe; siblings, Robbie Black, Pam Robinson, Robert Black; as well as several other extended family and a host of friends.
A Celebration of Life and Home going for Maggie Ann Black Sims will be held at 7 P.M.Sunday, September 26, 2021 at Echoes of Mercy Baptist Church with Pastor Daniel White officiating.
Visitation will be from 4 P.M. until the funeral hour at the church on Sunday.
Family and friends will gather at 12:30 Monday, September 27, 2021 at Companion Funeral Home 2415 Georgetown Road NW, and proceed to Williamson Cemetery for the 1P.M. committal service.
