Macie Lily Johnson, 95, of Cleveland, TN passed away on December 30, 2021. She was born to the late Sheridan and Robbie Patterson. She worked as a Rosie Riveter during World War II as a young girl at a Boeing factory in Marietta, GA, as a waitress at several restaurants in Cleveland for many years, and then her and her husband, Arville, went to work with the Bradley County Sheriff Office. She loved her farm, animals, and her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband Arville Lee Johnson who fought in WWII on Omaha Beach, Normandy on D-Day, and her loving daughter Brenda Shamblin. She was also preceded by brothers Boyd Walter Patterson and Floyd Patterson who died in WWII; Louise, Lorene, Dorothy, Winston, and James.
She leaves behind one son to cherish her memories, Stephen Sheridan Johnson (Sharon); sisters, Nellie Williams and Bobbie Jean; grandchildren Scott Johnson (Tina), Amy Fontenot, Davy, Heath, & Josh Shamblin, Chris & Kenneth Allen; and several great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank all the nurses and staff at Bradley County Nursing and Rehab for their excellent care.
